AMODEX PRODUCTS

We baby boomers and our parents remember the days of carbon, hectograph and mimeo inks. You'd wear them on your hands for days as the color slowly faded; and, if you were misfortunate enough to get them on your clothes, you knew those garments were ruined. A trained engineer with an emerging printing business, my Dad (A. Peter Fatse) set out to solve this troublesome stain problem. In 1957, he introduced Amodex Hand Cleaner, which he marketed primarily to schools, banks and industry. We all know that behind every successful man is an extraordinary woman and our family is no exception. Dad had an idea and Mom (Silvia Babiana Fatse) made it happen. With three young children in tow, she'd tuck us all in bed and begin her "workday," typing sample letters to potential customers, ordering supplies and updating the books. In those days, there were no computers or white-out, and you never abbreviated state capitals! Theirs was a true partnership, a lifelong example to our family that, as the company moves on to the second generation, we strive to reflect today. Thank you for trying our product and, by all means, let us know how it performed. Welcome to AMODEX and to our family.
