Amplia Communications

Amplia Communications Ltd, formerly Massy Communications Ltd is licensed and authorized as a Telecommunications Concessionaire by the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT). The Company was started in 2006 and was part of the Massy Group of Companies, a local and regional conglomerate with third party revenue in 2017 of TT$11.8bn. From inception, it began building its business based on fibre to the business and in early 2016 after investing hundreds of millions of dollars, launched its fibre to the home operations. During this time considerable expertise has been developed in all areas around the provision of service on fibre, particularly GPON. With the expansion into Fibre to the Home, Amplia's Fibre To the Home (FTTH) network had now grown to become the second largest GPON network in the country. On the 31st July 2017, Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago ("TSTT") bought 100% of the issued share capital of Amplia. The acquisition allowed TSTT to acquire a world class state-of-the-art fibre optic network, offering advanced video High Definition TV services and High-Speed Internet to various communities across Trinidad. TSTT is the largest telecommunications company in Trinidad and Tobago by revenue and is the only quintuple full-service provider in the country offering Mobile, Internet, Data, Voice and Security services to customers. Since the acquisition, Amplia has launched voice, Security and IPPBX services adding to its portfolio. AMPLIA aims to transform lives and strengthen communities throughout Trinidad & Tobago, by bridging the digital divide.
