Amsons Group was started in early 2006 as an importer of bulk oil and petroleum products under the Camel Oil Tanzania retail brand. Having started off its operations distributing and retailing fuel, it has now branched out and grown, not only its market share of retail outlets and fuel distribution, but diversified and reorganised into the following business segments: Fuel & Lubricants Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Transportation Cement Concrete Inland Container Depots (ICD's) Bulk Grain Storage Located in the capital city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Amsons Group has from the beginning serviced the requirements of not only the local Tanzanian market but, become a strategic player in the distribution of fuel & petroleum products to customers in neighbouring landlocked countries which depend on the port of Dar es Salaam for supply being landlocked. The group's aims are to jointly promote and grow with the country's vision of becoming a major player in the East African Community. To this end the group continues to look for new and innovative business ideas, whilst keeping our customer's requirements the top priority.
