DOGGEESNAXX Ltd was founded in 2009 by Susanne Engel, a German national and Isabelle Lamusse, a Mauritian animal rights' campaigner. On investigating importing dog biscuits to support PAWS locally, we discovered most commercially manufactured treats are virtually free of natural nutrition and any genuine ingredients. 'BEEF FLAVOUR' usually means exactly that - artificial flavour, no real beef! So the idea was born. We would bake a whole new type of dog biscuit, locally - in our kitchens! Extensive trials followed and eventually the first biscuits became available in 2010. Handmade with love and real ingredients… fresh beef, liver, vegetables, cheese and eggs; free of chemicals, synthetic aromas, preservatives and non-food-grade fillers. Very quickly we were inundated with requests from dog-lovers all over Mauritius and it became clear there was a commercial demand for our natural treats. Growing popularity over the past two years has stretched the capacity of those two original kitchens to their limits. A change had to be made and so Susanne decided to "do it properly" and turn investor. DOGGEESNAXX is now entering the pet food market with a complete range of bio dog food! We are expanding from biscuits to include dry food, canned food and gourmet treats; with a team of dedicated like-minded women on board to see the project through. Our team of Mauritians, Germans and a Brit, is committed to the bio-philosophy and ensuring the quality ethic is maintained throughout.
