Anyon Design

Anyon is a residential and commercial interior design firm that provides interior architectural and decorative solutions for its clients. Anyon's founder, Lindsay Brier, works personally with every client to create exquisite, creative and practical design schemes. The needs, tastes and surroundings are carefully considered for each client to efficiently and cost effectively create spaces that are elegant, comfortable and functional. Lindsay's modern and fresh approach is informed by her knowledge and appreciation of classical architecture and period design. Bay Area native Lindsay Anyon Brier founded Anyon in 2006. Lindsay is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers, holding the highest level of membership based on education, experience and examination requirements. She is also certified by the National Qualification for Interior Design Certification (NCIDQ). Prior to forming Anyon, Lindsay was the lead assistant designer for the interior design division of Foster-Gwin Inc. Lindsay augmented her design experience by also working in Foster-Gwin's Jackson Square antique and art gallery. Lindsay studied Art History, History of Architecture and Studio Art at Dartmouth College and the University of Rome. Since returning to the Bay Area after her graduation from Dartmouth, Lindsay has studied extensively at the Interior Architecture and Design program at UC Berkeley Extension. Lindsay currently serves on the national committee for Dartmouth Alumni in Design and Architecture. Lindsay's designs are inspired by her passion for art and her travels, and she is constantly educating herself on all aspects of design. Lindsay's interest in the decorative arts began as a young child in her mother's antique shop in Russian Hill. When Lindsay brought Sarah Freihofer into the Anyon family in 2010, they were both amazed at their number of shared experiences. Born and raised in New Hampshire, Sarah cultivated her love of art and design at Dartmouth College, where she focused her undergraduate work on Studio Art, Art History, and History of Architecture. Sarah also enjoyed studying classical and Renaissance art and architecture during a foreign study program in Rome. Following her relocation to San Francisco, Sarah worked at Montgomery Gallery in Jackson Square and the de Young Museum before finding her niche in interior design. Sarah is currently enrolled in the Interior Architecture and Design program at UC Berkeley Extension, and is a member of Dartmouth Alumni in Design and Architecture. Sarah has enjoyed immersing herself in the thriving art and design culture in San Francisco and is thrilled to have the opportunity to exercise her creativity through interior design. Marea Clark was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up, she gained a passion for interior design and architecture while traveling Europe with her family and apprenticing at her aunt and uncle's architecture firm. Marea attended the University of Kentucky's College of Design where she received a joint degree in Interior Design and Fine Art. After college Marea moved to California to pursue her career in interiors. She has over ten years of design experience and has worked with multiple award-winning interior design firms including Tucker and Marks in San Francisco and Madeline Stuart and Associates in Los Angeles; both listed on Architectural Digest's prestigious AD100- the top 100 design and architecture firms in the world. Marea credits her southern roots and her professional career on the west coast for her design philosophy of creating layered, timeless, and comfortable interiors.
