No, we do not pass your contact details to third parties and so you will not receive emails from third parties. By registering with ApA Research you are agreeing to participate in legitimate market research surveys. What information do you need to collect on me as a panel member? When you register with ApA Research we will ask for basic demographic information. This information will help us target people so they are relevant for surveys. For example, some surveys may be relevant to specific age groups in particular areas of the country. We also ask for more detailed profiling information, such as whether you drive a car or use a mobile phone. The more profiling information you complete when registering, the more surveys you are likely to receive which are also relevant to your circumstances or interests. For more specialist surveys we may ask extra information to determine eligibility for completing a particular survey. How can I cancel my membership with ApA Research? We hope you stay with us, but if you no longer wish to participate in our surveys you are free to deactivate your account at anytime. Every survey includes a link at the footer of the invite sent via email. Alternatively, you can deactivate your account yourself by logging in and selecting the unregister link. Please note that if you deactivate your account, any rewards money you have accumulated will not be paid, and if subsequently, you rejoin ApA Research at a later date, the rewards accumulated previously would not be carried forward into a new account. What kinds of questions will I have to answer in surveys? Many of our surveys focus on everyday topics, products and issues which gain national coverage in the news media. Our market research surveys range from topical subjects, such as the environment, education and TV shows. Recent polls include online usage in Nigeria. The subject matter varies, but many of our surveys are quick and fun to do. How long is the typical survey? This depends on the subject matter and type of survey, but most online surveys are between 5 and 10 minutes. If you are specially selected, we may ask people to take part in telephone interviews or focus groups, or to provide feedback via a web cam or video diary. Do I have to participate in every survey I am invited to? No. You are not obliged to do so. We aim to invite members to participate in relevant surveys, based on the registration information we collect. If you haven't participated in a survey for a while, you may receive an email checking that you wish to remain in our panel, or updating your profile. We will never over burden panel members with surveys.
