American Premium Beverage was established in 1973 in Winston Salem. Having begun with a small portfolio of wines, 3 partners and one employee, APB is now recognized as the clear leader in our region for all segments of the wine business with the most dynamic wine portfolio, containing the most recognized and awarded brands in the entire industry. On December 1, 2007, R.H. Barringer Distributing Company purchased APB to form the largest and most effective alcoholic beverage distributing company in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. R.H. Barringer was founded in 1933, obtained the rights to distribute Anheuser-Busch in 1935, and now distributes over 400 brands and packages throughout the Piedmont. R.H. Barringer is still owned and operated by the Barringer family, who have provided over 65 years of continuous management, community service and involvement as well as the highest level of service to our customers and consumers. Through the years American and R.H.Barringer continue to attract some of the best minds and hardest workers in the industry.
