Apex

Apex has recently been involved in the re-contracting process for supply to all NHS trusts in England outside the London/South East areas. The Multi-Regional agency project has involved two tender submissions to determine quality and initial prices. The final part of the process was an on line auction that took place over 5 days. Pay and Charge rates were submitted to achieve an overall ranking amongst the other 114 agencies that had been invited to the auction. The aim of this project was to produce one charge rate for all NHS trusts, further improve service quality, reduce the number of available agencies but more importantly reduce both agency pay and charges and secure further savings for the NHS. Our aim in the auction has been to ensure that our costs remain the most competitive in the country whilst minimising the impact on agency pay rates. I am proud to announce that Apex has been successful in its submission and has been chosen as one of a limited number of agencies that NHS trusts can chose as providers. In fact overall Apex came second in the whole of the country, which is a fantastic acheivement, this means that we will be able to offer the widest variety of choice in the region.
