Established in 1996, Apex Steel, Inc. was formed to enter the steel subcontracting market. Operations quickly picked up and in those early years, low overhead gave Apex a competitive edge and secured projects to demonstrate the skill and production capabilities of its workforce. Apex has positioned itself as one of the largest steel contractors in the area. Also in 2008, Apex Tower Crane, Inc. was incorporated to perform tower crane, hoist and manlift work in the Pacific Northwest market.
