American Research Bureau
American Research Bureau (ARB) was founded in 1935 and quickly built a solid reputation for excellence in probate research and heir location services. ARB traces its origins to 1935, when it was founded by Vincent H. Telling. In 1986, founder Vincent H. Telling retired and Mary E. Schwartz became President and Chairman of the Board. Currently, Preston L. Cochrane is Chief Executive Officer and Mary E. Schwartz continues to serve as Chairman of the Board. ARB earned its reputation the old fashioned way, we earned it. For over 80 years, we have built our firm based on a simple and enduring premise: We see the world through the eyes of our clients. In order to meet the growing needs of a broader worldwide audience, ARB relocated its Research Operations Center in 1991 from Los Angeles, California to Salt Lake City, Utah-the genealogy capitol of the world. ARB maintains satellite offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Fort Lauderdale.
