Argenta Holdings plc is an unquoted holding company trading in the Lloyd's of London Insurance Market. Its operations are split between three main subsidiaries: Argenta Private Capital Limited, Argenta Syndicate Management Limited and Argenta Taxation Consultants Limited. Argenta Private Capital Limited (APCL) is a licensed Lloyd's Advisor and Members' Agent authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA). APCL advise both individual and corporate members of Lloyd's on their underwriting affairs and manage close to £1 billion of Lloyd's underwriting capacity on behalf of their clients. Argenta has been instrumental in securing the admission of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) as a new form of underwriting at Lloyd's from 2007. It also manages the affairs of Scottish Limited Partnerships (SLPs) and Namecos. Argenta employs a market leading research team, analysing the 32 syndicates to which Argenta clients provide their capital, as well as trends and developments in both the Lloyd's market and in the global insurance and reinsurance industry. Syndicate 2121 provides worldwide reinsurance and insurance solutions through the expertise of a highly experienced underwriting team. Argenta Taxation Consultants offers a full range of tax planning, estate planning and tax compliance services to individuals. Much of the work is in the areas of self assessment, capital gains tax mitigation, inheritance tax and remuneration planning as well as advice to the self-employed, to legal professionals and to Members of Lloyd's.
