Since its commercial establishment in late the1970's, Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) has gained growing importance as an effective and gentle means of recovering lipophilic ingredients from plant matrix. Aromtech's modern carbon dioxide-assisted SFE process provides an aseptic processing medium without thermal stress to preserve the valuable lipid ingredients in their natural and active form. Being practically effluent-free and not involving any use of chemicals, the facility meets with the most stringent criteria for environmental compliance and plant safety. The unique technology attributes also help guarantee that the best possible standards can be met in terms of product purity and product safety. In our raw material sourcing, we take close care of not disturbing the sensitive arctic environment. The management system has been certified according to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards with respect to quality and environment. To ensure premium and consistent quality of our products and services we maintain close links with the entire raw material supply chain from cultivators and collectors to industrial processors of berries. All procedures from raw material inspection to in-process material analyses to finished product quality are based on standardised analytical techniques. Our manufacturing facility is registered for processing foods including organically certified materials according to EC 834/2007, which gives a top priority to plant purity. Our employees are qualified and licensed for handling and processing foodstuffs. High hygienic standards are maintained in all procedures involving a contact with plant material. Operations conforming to Good Manufacturing Practice are used when applicable.
