Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospitaal was originally founded as a Catholic hospital in 1920, and was the first hospital in Aruba. The current hospital was established in 1976, and took the name of Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospitaal in March 1977, after the first Aruban doctor, Horacio E. Oduber MD.
