Michael Nicholson earned his B.S. & M.S. in Botany from Eastern Illinois University, M.S. in Training & Performance Improvement from Capella University, and his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Penn State. He has over 20 years of academic and industry research experience in botany, mycology, and agriculture . He has experience with cane cultivation in California, France, Argentina, and Central America, and has developed trait-selection and high-yield cultivation programs. George D. "Buck" Nielsen has over 30 years of experience in all phases of production agriculture. He is experienced with plantation establishment and removal , and was a pioneer with cane irrigation and mulching programs, contributing to the first yield improvements with cultivated cane.
