Ashland Foundry & Machine Works, Inc (AFMW) manufactures Steel, Chrome Iron and High Alloy castings ranging in size from 50 pounds to 7,500 pounds. AFMW produces more than 50 different metals and can also provide machining. The Ashland facility has operated continuously since 1881 and strives to provide high quality products and services to our customers. AFMW is an independent foundry and machine shop that along with our sister company West Coast Foundry can produce complex, highly engineered products. We are ISO certified and offer our customers full service from your product concept through the shipment to your facility. Our technical group can help you design your casting for optimal quality and utilizes solidification software to design a gating system that will ensure that you receive a high quality casting. If your requirements include machining, our engineers will program our CNC machines to produce a finished casting to your specifications. Castings are produced on four different no-bake molding lines and our metals are melted and poured from seven coreless induction furnaces and checked by our in-house metallurgical lab to ensure chemistry is to specification. Other services include an in-house pattern shop, upgrade, heat treatment, painting, fabrication, and assembly. We offer outstanding customer service to fully assist your purchasing department.
