Neighborhood Charter School

We are a very unique community school that is united by our mission to "provide a learning environment for all students that demands high educational standards and high levels of parent/guardian involvement and responsibility. To realize our mission requires an unfaltering commitment to helping each of our students build their own understanding and knowledge of the world through experience, active learning, real-world problem solving, collaboration and reflection. Our classroom environments are varied and learning opportunities are well planned and orchestrated to help students learn how to learn. Parent involvement is at the core of NCS, with parents, special friends and even grandparents being regularly present in classrooms. We value community, our natural environment and most importantly the unique learning style of each learner. Families join our teachers as active participants in each child's active engagement with learning.
