Atthowe Fine Art Services is a full-service company dedicated to the safe handling of fine art and fragile objects. We are a third-generation business, started in 1928. Our services include transportation, packing, crating, installation, storage, and freight forwarding. Our facilities in Oakland, California include four buildings, totaling 80,000 square feet, with storage vaults that are both climate controlled and non-climate controlled, packing and wood working shops, viewing areas, and secure loading facilities. The custom-designed storage environment totals 75,000 square feet, including 35,000 square feet that are temperature and humidity controlled. Our specialized, air-ride, climate-controlled vehicles provide daily service throughout northern California, with regular trips between northern and southern California, and scheduled service throughout the western states. Our staff is made up of professional artists who work in a variety of media including sculpture, painting, photography, ceramics, and music. We believe that the combination of artistic productivity and a career in art handling results in a staff with many years of experience and a high level of training and skill. Working in partnership with museums, galleries, collectors and artists, we seek to provide thoughtful, personal service reducing risk and cost through careful planning and meticulous work. We help our clients accomplish their goals while staying within the tight schedules and budgets common to museum and gallery operations.
