Arabian United Float Glass Co. is the first independent float line in the Middle East and North Africa. Founded in 2006 as a closed stock company by large strategic institutional investors such as Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company, National Gas and Industrial Company, Saudi Real Estate Company, National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia and Al-Rashid Group. In addition to a number of prestigious individual investors, giving UFG a strong solid start. From the Plant strategic location in Yanbu City by Red Sea, UFG contacted reputed Technology Providers in Europe, USA and Far East to build its 350,000 square meters and 600 tons/day Modern and state of the art manufacturing plant to ensure the best quality glass production with a wide range of thickness, colors and sizes enabling us to satisfy the needs of our valued customers. In 2009 UFG successfully started producing Clear Float Glass having quality matching with international standards. UFG started producing Tinted Light Green Glass in 2010 to become the first in the region. With an objective of further product diversification in the succeeding years, UFG entered into automotive market segment with Thin Light Green Tinted Glass. Shortafter UFG started its new Copper/Lead Free Silver Mirror processing plant & in 2014 UFG successfully commissioned its new pattern line.
