The family owned company has been serving the area for nearly 50 years. The business began in 1962 as Austintown Ice Cream. Ice Cream was all he sold during the fi rst couple of years. Then, in 1964, James Creighton added Borden products to his portfolio. In the late 1960's he moved to Mahoning Avenue in Austintown, Ohio. In the 1980's the delivery aspect continued to grow as he secured many contracts with local schools for both ice cream and milk. On March 22nd, 1990, James passed away, leaving Austintown Dairy to his sons, Joe and Tom. This was the perfect fi t since they had grown up and spent their entire lives working in the industry. The two brothers continued to work hard to carry on the tradition of great service and quality products as they successfully took the business to the next level.
