Automation-Plus was founded in 1987 as a Systems Integrator for Machine Tool and Manufacturing Automation. Over the course of several years the company found a niche in the development of inkjet marking systems for the Aerospace industry. By 2005 the company turned its full attention to the Direct Part Mark industry. Direct Part Mark refers to the application of product identification directly to the part through ink, laser, chemical or mechanical means. Beginning with the existing inkjet products, we expanded our offering to include laser systems, chemical etching systems, and dot peen/vibroetch systems. While we offered limited part marking services before 2005, the Department of Defense Unique Identification (UID) mandate allowed us to create a full time part marking group. We now provide both direct part mark and label marking services using ink, laser, chemical and mechanical systems.
