AutoMax is a family owned dealership that was started in March 1989 by two brothers, Phillip and Curtis White. The two brothers opened their first car lot after building a successful tire and wheel business in Henderson, NC. Their passion for hot rods and muscle cars drove their desire to open VIP Auto Sales, which was later re-named AutoMax. The dealership began financing vehicles almost as soon as they opened. What is now called BUY HERE PAY HERE financing started as simple handshake deals for longtime friends and customers. Times have changed and so have the laws and regulations governing the financing of automobiles. One thing that has not changed is our company's roots. It is still based in Henderson and 80% of its associates live or work in Vance County. The White brothers have retired from the car business and passed it on to a second generation Allen, Michael and Jeff White. AutoMax now has two locations. One is located in Henderson on the same corner and in the same building. The other is located in Youngsville, NC. AutoMax's mission remains the same as the day we opened the door more than 25 years ago. AutoMax's mission is to provide reliable transportation and credit to friends, family and customers alike.
