Absolute Volleyball Academy of Texas
Absolute Volleyball Academy (AVA) of Texas is a club volleyball organization dedicated to teaching and challenging girls from ages 10 to 18. With a focus on improving a player's volleyball knowledge and abilities through skills training, a competitive practice atmosphere and top-level coaches; AVA is a premier club within the Lone Star Region. Conveniently located southeast of Houston, AVA attracts some of the best talent from the surrounding communities. AVA was co-founded in 2006 by Katy Garza and Jerry Linch. The two had previously directed their own clubs and realized the potential of combining their efforts and creating a volleyball powerhouse. The merging of the two clubs has been a success with multiple teams qualifying for the Junior Olympics and having many high school seniors sign college scholarships.
