Avstar Fuel Systems
AVStar was formed in 1999 to overhaul Marvel Schebler/Precision/Volare type float carburetors and Bendix/Precision fuel injection systems. An early strategic decision was made to deal directly with all customers - owner pilots, engine shops, FBOs, distributors and engine manufacturers. By doing so, AVStar had the opportunity to listen directly to the voice of the customer and identify those issues that make the difference between a good company and a great one. From modest beginnings, the company relocated to a new 18,000 sq. ft. facility in 2001. This provided ample space for expansion and a high quality environment for all future activities. In 2005, Precision Air, a 60 year old fuel system warranty/repair station in Miami was blended into AVStar's operations. This acquisition added a broad range of experience and talent to the ever expanding assembly and test capabilities. As the company gained PMA approvals for individual fuel system replacement parts, the next logical step was to design complete FAA-PMA systems. CAD and Engineering Services were expanded and the latest software introduced to permit detailed analysis and performance optimization. Today, the company holds around 1000 PMAs for fuel system parts and systems.
