The Bagel Factory is all about bagels, freshly baked, freshly filled to order, served to take away or in a relaxed cafe environment. Over 10 flavours served with a variety of delicious fillings. Along with bagels, we serve cappuccino, latte and filter coffees. We also offer soup, juices, smoothies, crisps, cakes and our award winning Bagel Factory bagel chips. What are your expansion plans? We are currently focused on growth within the rail network. Why would I want to work for you? We are a successful, professional yet fun company. Hours can be flexible and/or part-time positions available, with great opportunity for promotion. You will also receive training and development, placing you in the running to gain from incentive programmes. You are also entitled to lunch and drinks on your shift. What type of qualifications do I require? We are looking for smiley, happy people, who enjoy communicating with and helping others. You should be polite, reliable, responsible, trustworthy and understand the benefits of excellent customer service. A good sense of humour mixed with a healthy smattering of common sense is always welcome. Catering industry experience is a plus but not essential if you are willing to learn and follow the company guidelines. What holidays am I entitled to? You would be currently entitled to 28 days holiday per year on a pro rata basis. What career opportunities are available? First and foremost, we promote from within. Many start with us as Counter Team Members, and move on to Supervisors, Assistant Managers, Shop Managers, and/or Multi-Shop Managers. Depending on your past experience, you may begin at one of the these levels. Will I have to work Sundays and Bank Holidays? Yes. Due to the nature of our business, these days are a part of most units' working week so you will be required to work. What is your salary range in retail shops? Counter Team Members begin at the minimum hourly wage and can go up to £7.00 per hour. Salaried positions for shop management start at £15,000 plus bonus based on shop performance. Your salary goes up from there based on experience and ability to take on additional responsibility. What should I wear to work? At Bagel Factory we actively promote a professional image and we will supply you with a uniform which needs to be kept clean and ironed at all times.
