Banta Labs

Bantalabs is a distributed team of developers, advisors and trainers with offices in the UK, France and Senegal. We work with organizations across the United States, Europe and West Africa to help them build and support web projects based on Drupal, the leading open source content management system. As a socially responsible enterprise we focus on positively impacting the communities we work with: through our partnership with the University of Gaston Berger in Saint-Louis, Senegal we involve students and staff in open source education by providing seminars and offering internship positions our internship programs allow recent graduates to gain real world experience by taking leading roles in web projects for local non-profit organizations solidly entrenched in the Drupal community we organize free training sessions, hold weekly code sprints to contribute to the core Drupal codebase and set up user group meetups and DrupalCamp events. We're working towards Ethical Accreditation by the Ethical Company Organisation, an independent entity that certifies companies and brands that take up their corporate social responsibility in the way they work with their staff, clients and the surrounding environment. Bantalabs and Jokkolabs work together to stimulate technical innovation throughout Senegal by co-organizing technical and entrepreneurial workshops. Through our co-working spaces we both provide an accessible and low cost environment where individuals and start-ups can gather, exchange ideas and get broadband connection in a quiet and creative setting.
