Barclaycard was first established in the United States in 2004, when we bought the Juniper Financial Corporation. Juniper was a thriving business, built on strong partnerships with well-known US companies, and we've continued to emulate this successful business model. By following in Juniper's tradition as a company with fresh ideas that empathises with customers, we're now the country's 10th largest credit card issuer. That's according to the Nilson Report, published in August 2012. Our US card outstandings grew from $10 billion in November of 2011 to $14 billion in January of 2013.
