Barlow Respiratory Hospital was founded in 1902 as a Tuberculosis Sanatorium and is among the nation's leading Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTCH/LTAC) providing specialized post - ICU care for patients with complex respiratory illnesses. The hospital is nationally recognized for success rates in ventilator weaning with its TIPS® Protocol. The hospital is currently conducting a campaign to ReBuild Barlow as a brand new state-of-the-art hospital at the historic Los Angeles campus and operates two satellite sites - in Van Nuys and in Whittier, California.
