Barnstable Police Department

The members of the Barnstable Police Department strive to work in partnership with our community in seeking out and solving problems in order to enhance our quality of life. We are committed to preserving the lives, property and rights of all our citizens through proactive policing strategies. The Town of Barnstable is home to seven villages including Hyannis, Massachusetts famed as the former home to the Kennedy family. The Barnstable P.D. serves a population of about 50,000 residents and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in New England. During the summer months, Barnstable's population can grow to 150,000 people, as the main access point to world-famous islands including Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
