Bath Racecourse

Bath Racecourse is now offering free entry to all under-18s throughout 2013. At a time when family leisure activities are increasing in price and the age limit is for free entry is forever lowering, Bath Racecourse is bucking the trend, making a family day out at the races an affordable, yet entertaining option. Jo Hall, General Manager at Bath Racecourse explains: "Free entry used to be for under-16s at our racetrack, but we wanted to make our fantastic events and races more accessible to cash-conscious families this year so we extended the age limit. "We also host a number of family days at our course that provide another opportunity for families to get involved in racing and these are full days out, offering a variety of other entertainment such as giving kids the opportunity to meet Peppa Pig at our Big Bank Holiday raceday." Adults currently pay from £10 a ticket for standard fixture race days so a family of two adults and two under-18s could save £22 or more under this new scheme. She added: "when compared with family trips to the cinema and local attractions, we really do offer a competitive option, making racing an affordable option for everyone. "We hope that by introducing free entry for all under-18s, that racing can become a regular fixture for families in and around Bath." Throughout the year, there's is a range of afternoon and evening racing to choose from. Bath Racecourse is part of ARC and operates 15 racecourses across the UK and is committed to proving it can lead the way when it comes to providing fun, affordable days out.
