Richard Mansfield

Dr. Richard Mansfield qualified from Leeds University Medical School in 1990 and after completing a number of junior hospital appointments in Leeds and Harrogate moved to the South West to commence specialist training in cardiology. He completed posts in Swindon and the Royal United Hospital, Bath, before spending 3 years in the Wessex Cardiothoracic Unit in Southampton. He went on to complete a 2 year British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellowship at University College Hospital, London, studying the effects of the coronary arterial wall to balloon angioplasty and stenting. This research led to the award of MD with commendation.
