St. Mary Academy - Bay View

Since 2006, Bay View has enrolled students from around the world, who come to Bay View to enjoy the benefits of an all-girls school in a Catholic and caring community. Over the past 10 years, we have educated international students from China, Japan, Brazil, India, Italy and Korea. Bay View works in partnership with study abroad agencies, including Roosevelt International Academy, EduBoston and Nacel Open Door. Many of these agencies organize "home stays" for our students, allowing both Bay View families and others the opportunity to host an international student. These students truly immerse themselves in American culture as they live with their host family for one semester or longer. Additionally, some agencies provide dormitory housing for their students, which offers a supportive learning and living environment close to Bay View. The administration and faculty recognize the benefits of a culturally-diverse student body. Our school community welcomes its international students and embraces the opportunities to expand cultural diversity and experiences. Bay View's commitment to provide a quality education steeped in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy reaches beyond our immediate geographic area. Since the enrollment of our first international students in 2006, Bay View has continued to expand our international student population. These students can attend Bay View for two to five years, as we welcome applicants to grades 8 through 11.
