BC Diabetes offers all the services of a traditional diabetes centre and complements the care of your family physician. In addition, BC Diabetes offers rapid access to diabetes specialists - our goal is that all new referrals will be seen within 10 business days and insulin starts arranged within 24 hours, anywhere in BC - telephone appointments with doctors, certified diabetes educators, nurses, and dietitians; access to fitness coaches; access to the latest diabetes medication through clinical trials; specialized pharmacy services and an online patient portal. The patient portal features the ability to view blood test results (within 48 hours for most tests), a personalized journal and secure Question & Answer with BC Diabetes staff with a response time of 2 business days or less.
