Ben Yehuda Press publishes books of interest for the American Jewish community. Despite the upsurge of many segments of the Jewish publishing market in recent years -- including specialized Jewish presses and academic presses -- there are still worthy texts, representing underpublished, important subject areas, that should be made available in print. Ben Yehuda Press aims to build a backlist whose steady sales in the years ahead will provide increasing revenues for its publishing project. In evaluating books, therefore, we are more interested in a work's long-term value in the years ahead than the prospect for immediate sales.
