Bibblio offers an open education resource based on heutagogical principles, using the best digital and social technologies to curate and encourage a learning experience that maximises the potential for people to learn for themselves. The renewed interest in heutagogy is partially due to the ubiquity of Web 2.0 and the affordances provided by the technology. With its learner-centred design, Web 2.0 offers an environment that supports heutagogical approaches, most importantly by supporting development of learner-generated content and allowing users to discover quality content in a curated and social environment. Self-determined learning will define the 21st Century.
