Black Country Radio

Black Country Radio offers individuals and businesses alike affordable, hyper-local radio advertising. We can tailor a radio and/or online advertising campaign to suit your needs. For more details visit our advertising pages. We love being local. We're proud of the fact we're based in the area we broadcast to because the simple truth is - nowadays so many stations aren't. We don't begrudge those broadcasters; there's definitely a place for national radio. However we think that should be in conjunction with, not at the expense of, local equivalents. One thing we LOVE to do is get out and about in the community and broadcast from around the Black Country. We've invested in a software called ipDTL, which allows us to do just that. In the past, stations relied on expensive ISDN connections, or pricey online streams to be able to broadcast from an external location. It meant that stations without that sort of budget missed out on interviews and content that other stations could feature. ipDTL allows us to get around that, giving us access to high quality ISDN calls as well as an online solution that means anybody with Google Chrome and a microphone can be heard on air in seconds! It means we can get out and about as much as we want to - you'll hear us live at events like the Black Country Festival and the Black Country Road Run as well as sports coverage at local football and cricket matches. It also gives us the chance to speak to a huge range of people, both local stars and national celebrities too. Our technical director, Tom Walker, can't get enough of the service. He said: "What a great solution this has brought to our station. Funds are always tight and using top end kit isn't normally an option. We carried out a simple, but effortless, trial using ipDTL and the quality was seamless throughout. "We're always busy when it comes to outside broadcasts and, after the test run, we now know have a new platform to take us into the community." You can find out more at ipdtl.com.
