BLACK LAB OUTFITTER, LLC, was established in the Fall of 2008 as a result of an overwhelming interest from fly fishing clients wanting to pursue duck hunting in the San Luis Valley. Mark Engler (pictured above with his loyal dog Ellie) acquired BLO in the Fall of 2011 from founder Andy Lee. Mark is originally from Pueblo, CO and a graduate of Adams State College in Alamosa, CO in the heart of the San Luis Valley. He has over 25 years of professional fly fishing & hunting experience throughout Southern Colorado. Mark's love of the outdoors and wildlife began at a very young age, taking hunter safety courses as a youngster and a multitide of fishing and hunting trips with his family and friends. Mark's entire life has been devoted to refining and mastering the skills to become an experienced hunting and fly fishing guide. Just recently, Mark acquired a U.S. Coastguard Captain's License which enables him to offer clients hunting and fly fishing guided trips on Navajo Reservoir and other area lakes. Mark consistently strives to provide his clients with the ultimate waterfowl hunting and fishing experience.
