John Essigman is a Fee-Only Advisor and Financial Planner with a passion for helping families achieve their personal, business, and financial objectives. John has an in-depth understanding that money, in and of itself, has no real value, but is the catalyst for improving his client's quality of life and as an expression of love for their families. John's career spans more than 30 years in business and he brings an extensive and broad background to his Financial Wellness practice. He holds a B.A. in Business from Saint Leo University and is currently enrolled in the Graduate Degree program at the College for Financial Planning seeking to earn a Master's Degree in Finance. John entered financial services in 2004 to pursue a life-long ambition of building a private practice. His professional experience includes financial planning, insurance, strategic planning, manufacturing, logistics, consulting, real estate, small business, and tax planning. However, John's practice is strictly fee-only. He does not sell or market any investment or insurance product and does not earn a sales commission. Recognizing that financial planning is complex, John has developed strategic relationships with other professionals. These partnerships include attorneys, CPA's, tax experts, IRS enrolled agents, mortgage specialists, advanced insurance case experts, and employee benefit consultants who may be called upon as the need arises. Specializing in retirement income planning, John's practice is geared towards helping those people who are in retirement or approaching retirement. However, his work within the community has shown a great need for helping people from all walks of life. In this regard, John contributes time, effort, and personal resources to Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, and the American Heart Association. He is also a volunteer professional rescuer on the Habersham High Angle Rescue Team. Originally from West Texas, John has lived in North Georgia since 1985. He continues to reside in Cleveland, Georgia with his wife and the last of six children. His farm is just outside of town where he raises hay and timber and one day hopes to raise horses and other livestock. John is a former U.S. Marine, is a member of the White County Chamber of Commerce and the Society for Human Resource Management.
