Boavista Wind Club

Boavista wind club was founded by Francois Guy in 1995. He was one of the first windsurfers travelling to Cape Verde and very soon he realized that this country had excellent conditions to practice watersports and he promoted this destination for windsurf. His first station was in Sal island in the year of 1986. In 2000 the Boa Vista station received a new member, a French guy called Jean Marie Vincent who made a new building with restaurant, bar and apartments for guests. Also the variety of services offered by the center increased with the goal to provide better service. António Galvão, a Portuguese windsurfer with lots of experience in watersports joined this project in 2015, continuing the work of François Guy, modernizing the center and adding new activities to the club with new equipment, ensuring an excellent quality service in Boavista Island. BoaVista Windclub is located in Estoril beach next to Alisios restaurant. It is very close to Sal Rei center and managed by professionals in this area with a mix of European and local people, providing excellent service in a very relaxed atmosphere. The station is equipped with high performance gear and always updated in all sports and levels. We work together with Gaastra and Tabou and our instructors are highly qualified and provide a very good service. We have lessons, rentals, storage, rescue and trips around the island to great spots. Most of these spots are remote, wild and excellent for windsurf, kite surf, Sup and surf. Our instructors are very good with lots of experience at all levels and we teach in several languages. The spot in front of the center is excellent for watersports at any level and the small island in front provides good protection from Northwest and North swells coming from the Atlantic where you can have flat water and waves at the same spot.
