Bonneville Transloaders

Bonneville Transloaders

Founded in 1985, BTI provided an alternative, competitively priced soda ash transportation service for product mined throughout southwestern Wyoming. Trucks began moving soda ash from mines located in the Green River Basin north 200 miles to a rail transload facility at Bonneville, Wyoming. BTI and the BNSF Railway joined forces to provide this service which continues to this day. BTI strived for diversification and continues to look for new opportunities for expansion. Our first major was the opening of a terminal in Kemmerer, WY. This facility was designed to haul coal from the Chevron Mine (previously the P&M Mine) to soda ash processing plants. By placing a office close to the coal load out facility, BTI found itself in a prime position to service the majority of soda ash producers in southeastern Wyoming. The next major expansion brought BTI into the Powder River Basin servicing coal and coal bed methane gas production. The location chosen was Moorcroft, WY, thirty miles east of Gillette, Wyoming. Moorcroft allowed BTI to acquire rail siding rights on the main line of the BNSF Railway just outside of Gillette. To this day we still actively use this rail siding for transloading as well as the nearby Upton Regional Industrial Park. Our Latest expansion was into Northern Nevada providing service to the gold mining industry, our operations based out of Wells, NV. Our facility is state of the art including geothermal heating for the entire facility and a full size washbay for maintaining our equipment. The geothermal radiant floor heating helps us reduce our carbon footprint, while reducing daily operating expenses.
