Our GCSE results are excellent and we have won awards for both attainment and progress every year over the past 5 years. However, Bonus Pastor will always be about much more than just the academic, and we believe very strongly in educating the 'whole child'. Our vision is to always work in partnership with our students, parents, parishes and local community to create a positive research-engaged environment for learning and teaching, where everyone is valued and respected. As a Catholic school, we not only strive to encourage students to succeed academically, but to succeed as Catholic Citizens of the world. We prepare pupils for a wide range of careers and life experiences by delivering a core set of transferable skills and values. Students will achieve their potential and beyond as a result of a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. We are firm believers in promoting the Arts and have a wide variety of courses and opportunities on offer as well as providing an excellent range of sporting opportunities for all students. We have a high regard for student enrichment and Ofsted 2017 commented on 'The wealth of Extra-curricular activities' which prepare our students very well for the next steps of their education. We have a great House system where students are in one of six Houses, as well as their Year group. Each student is given a special House tie and school planner which identifies which House they are in and further strengthens our catholic community.
