Bradley Development League

Bradley Development League

The BDL is a consortium of four towns (East Granby, Suffield, Windsor and Windsor Locks) surrounding Bradley International Airport that markets the airport and region for economic development purposes. BDL was created in 1995 and was formally incorporated as a non-profit corporation in 2000, adding business representatives to the board to reflect the combined public/private nature of this endeavor. BDL presently boasts more than 2,000 acres of buildable land within the four towns. East Granby, Suffield, Windsor and Windsor Locks share the economic engine of Bradley Airport, as well as the important highway access provided by Route 20 and Interstate 91. By acting together the communities, area businesses and the airport can realize greater economic and community benefits than are possible through separate efforts. This inter-town cooperation was recently recognized by the Capital Region Council of Governments with a regional award touting that town officials "share information and market the area without regard to municipal boundaries."
