The Belarusian Transport Week is an annual international transport and logistics forum that incorporates an international exhibition Transport and Logistics and an extensive business program. The event is arranged and conducted by the Transport and Communications Ministry in cooperation with other interested government agencies, business associations, professional units, R&D centers and educational institutions. The major theme of this year's forum is development strategy for Belarus' transport infrastructure and transportation and logistics services based on advanced information and communication technologies. The Belarusian Transport Week is meant to discuss ways to improve the country's transport and logistics complex, intensify commodity flows through Belarus, increase safety, quality and efficiency of transportation services based on digital transformation, raise investments and encourage innovations in transportation and logistics, promote international cooperation and improve Belarus' image as a transit state. Taking part in the Belarusian Transport Week are transportation and logistics companies, suppliers of equipment for logistics centers, insurance companies, producers and distributors of motor vehicles, representatives of sea ports and railway administrations from the CIS countries and other states. In 2018 the Transport and Logistics expo will gather about 80 organizations from ten countries (Austria, Belarus, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, France and Sweden). Apart from individual company pavilions, the exhibition will feature collective pavilions of Latvia, the Port of Klaipeda and port operators from Lithuania, pavilions of Belarusian Railways, Latvian Railway, Lithuanian Railways, Ukrainian Railways, and the Belarusian Association of International Forwarders.
