Bubba Gump is the third restaurant company Landry's has acquired this year, following the purchase of the 45-unit Claim Jumper casual-dining chain for $76.6 million in cash and liabilities on Nov. 2 and the 12-unit Oceanaire Seafood Room in a $23.6 million deal in April. Both Claim Jumper and Oceanaire were purchased out of bankruptcy. Also this year, Fertitta closed on a $1.4 billion deal to take Houston-based Landry's private.
