Building Solutions was founded as Bixby Lumber Company in 1975 by Wesley McGlothlin. In 1994 Wesley sold the business to his son Ronnie and at the age of 19 Ronnie began the journey to where Building Solutions is today. Throughout the 90's & early 2000's Bixby Lumber operated as primarily a local hardware store serving the community of Bixby, OK and had a small presence in the home builder market. As the economy began to change, the decision was made to build on the great relationships that Ronnie had developed in the home building community and to begin to develop the business as a full service building materials supplier, truly focusing on the professional home-builder. In 2009, the Bixby Lumber Company developed the leadership team that would lead Building Solutions into this new phase of growth. In 2012, the name was officially changed to Building Solutions and by May of 2013 Building Solutions was featured by Pro Sales magazine as the 4th fastest growing building material supplier in the nation. Today, Building Solutions has locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Kansas City and also operates one of the largest full line custom cabinet shops in Northeastern Oklahoma.
