Dilawri concedes that this phenomenal growth makes it a challenge to attract the volume of top professionals required to keep pace with dealerships coming under The Dilawri Group umbrella. "We work hard to find the right people, and then give them the training and support they need to succeed," he says. Dubois adds, "We empower our people and give them the ability to grow." Dilawri, who began his career in eastern Canada, says that as the company developed a growth strategy, B.C. was identified as a great place for opportunity. "We felt that some markets were under- served, especially in the luxury vehicle market. The Dilawri Group's first foray into the west coast market began with Acura, followed in 2010 by the acquisition of MCL Motor Cars, a company whose roots go back 50 years.
