Butte County Office

Butte County Sheriff's Search & Rescue is one of the busiest teams in California and commits thousands of hours per year conducting all types of SAR missions within Butte County. Search & Rescue also responds to other counties and cities upon a mutual aid request for help. The members of Search & Rescue, who are all volunteers, are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and respond to many types of incidents including searches for lost or missing persons, technical rope rescues including air rescue, swift water and dive rescues, mountain rescues, wildfire and flood evacuations. These volunteers take time away from home, work, family and friends to respond to these emergencies. We are expected to solve a wide variety of problems in every imaginable condition of weather and terrain.? To meet this challenge we depend entirely on contributions, grants, and volunteer effort. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and your contribution is tax deductible. Our tax ID number is: 680424791.
