Camp Pontiac

We strive to provide your child with an excellent facility, a mature and sensitive staff who love children and a broad range of activities that affords our campers the opportunity to participate in the activities they love and a chance to experience new ones. Our campers represent a wide geographic distribution throughout the country. Our program is structured, yet relaxed, and our campers are encouraged to participate. As a general rule, the older the camper, the more flexible the program. We believe that children should feel good about themselves whether it be by hitting a home run, being in a play or molding a piece of clay. Our 80 adult staff led by the directors, head counselors and group leaders are always available to provide a sense of parental security for your child. Eighty percent of our staff are Americans, most of whom we personally recruit from college campuses. The remainder hail from Canada, England and Australia. The average age of our counselor staff is 21 and all are carefully evaluated before being hired and undergo a rigorous five day orientation at camp. We offer a safe, spirited and fun filled environment where the children feel they are part of a family. As their first experience away from home, we want our kids to develop self confidence, independence and a sense of self worth.
