In year 2001, Caribe Rx signs an distribution agreement with Alpha Therapeutic Corporation, a plasma-derived products company in order to launch, represent and distribute its products in Puerto Rico. In year 2005, Grifols, established in Barcelona, Spain, acquires Alpha Therapeutical Corporation and Caribe Rx becomes the representative and distributor in Puerto Rico. In year 2007, with 10 years in business, we launched a new corporate image. The logo design was created by the renowned Puertorrican painting artist Wichie Torres. In year 2008, Caribe Rx becomes the exclusive representative of Grifols products in the entire territory of Puerto Rico. In year 2010, Caribe Rx partners PharmaNew to provide marketing and distribution of Novartis Vaccines in Puerto Rico. In year 2011, Grifols acquires one of its main competitors, Talecris and incorporate to its product offering a whole new line of pharmaceutical products.
