Carinity Education schools
In 1997, Carinity Education - Southside started operating as a small school to educate young women from troubled circumstances and became an approved school three years later. From the beginning, the school curriculum had been set up specifically to help young women deal with problems that would hold them back in other educational environments. The school moved to its Sunnybank location in 2002 and one year later, Search Light Inc. provided a crèche near the school. The crèche was set up specifically for the provision of free child care, early education and family support services to young mothers and pregnant students attending Carinity Education - Southside, and to support them in continuing their education while pregnant and transitioning back to school after the birth of their child. Carinity purchased the property next to the school in 2012 to provide space for expansion. The construction of the new school building was completed mid-2014. The Year 7's commenced at Southside in February 2014.
