The US healthcare system has lagged other industries in adopting new technologies. This gets even more pronounced when it comes to a niche segment like outpatient therapies. Twelve years back three passionate individuals with varied but complementary backgrounds, came together to form Amvik Solutions, with an objective to develop technology centric healthcare solutions for therapy clinics. Being clinical service providers ourselves, with multiple physical therapy and home health service centres, we have deep understanding of the challenges therapy providers face. The overarching intent was to improve efficiencies of their back office functions. From a humble beginning, our team went on to build Webaba, a full function practice management solution for therapy clinics. The fact that Webaba now has thousands of end users, stands testimony to its robust functionalities. This journey has also witnessed the team growing to 250+ employees spread across three global delivery centres in three different countries. What started as a technology tool eventually grew into an end to end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) services capability. The SAAS based technology offering was eventually sold to a large private equity firm, who retained Amvik as their services partner. Amvik is today the industry leader in providing RCM back office services, through a global delivery model, to niche therapy providers. SLPtele, is another division within the Amvik group that develops and deploys latest technology to provide in-home speech therapy service for children with a wide range of communication disorders and other conditions.
